Our 2024 – Elevating Leaders to Match the Future

2024 TLG Impact

As we close another year, we reflect on our role in preparing leaders for change. The World Economic Forum Future of Jobs Report identified 26 core skills essential for thriving in the evolving workplace by 2025. The report talks to capabilities like resilience, empathy, and creative thinking—skills that are not just vital for individuals but also critical for organizational success. This year, our team had the privilege of working with nearly 2,000 leaders from 21 countries, supporting their growth in nine of the top 15 future skills. These skills and our approach to address them are more than theoretical; we use practical tools to help leaders navigate challenges, seize opportunities, and make meaningful impacts in their industries and communities.

Our Impact Across Industries and Cultures

Here’s how we brought these skills to life in diverse and dynamic environments:

  1. Creative Thinking In delivering several inclusive leadership programs, we worked with federal and local government leaders to foster innovation using assessment tools such as Positive Intelligence, CliftonStrengths, and Hogan to help leaders build internal awareness to begin adopting growth mindset. These tools enabled them to think beyond traditional constraints.
  2. Resilience, Flexibility, and Agility Emotional intelligence training empowered engineering and accounting leaders to adapt to the high-pressure demands of tight deadlines and external client needs. Our programs were implemented during some of the most challenging times of the year. While many feel too busy to do “one more thing”, learning coping tools during these times proves to be the best demonstration of self-management. Individuals are able to reframe circumstances and maintain composure and agility under stress.
  3. Motivation and Self-Awareness For emerging student leaders from six historically Black colleges and universities, self-leadership was also important. By building confidence and clarity, these young leaders began their journeys toward creating meaningful change. Their small group or cohort-based setting emphasized shared accountability. None of them felt as if they were alone or in competition with one another.
  4. Curiosity and Lifelong Learning From a macroeconomic perspective, in 2024, so much happened to leaders in the 21 countries where our clients were based. It was important to embrace a mindset of curiosity. They practiced staying curious instead of in a state of judgement.
  5. Dependability and Attention to Detail We saw many nonprofit leaders refine their ability to navigate complex challenges. They balanced, sometimes competing, client needs for their critical services with donor relations board priorities.
  6. Empathy and Active Listening Empathy was a central theme in all of our coaching. When leaders were looking to deepen their team engagement and improve client relationships, they temporarily wore the “shoes” of those they sought to work with. This resulted in stronger, more connected organizations.
  7. Leadership and Social Influence Our core area of expertise is with for-profit leaders. These leaders, many of whom are “first” or “only” in their industries (role, or other demographic lens) faced unique challenges without clear pretexts for them to follow. They learned to lead authentically, prioritize self-care, and take bold action, even without a clear roadmap. Their growth edge was in beginning to build trusted networks and asking for help when needed.
  8. Quality Control Our project management training programs emphasized precision and detail-oriented leadership, ensuring that participants could oversee projects with the high stakes and exacting standards required in their fields.
  9. Service Orientation and Customer Service Reconnecting client satisfaction and service excellence through the lens of empathy, leaders developed strategies to optimize experiences for their customers and stakeholders.

Reaching New Heights Together

This year was also a year of growth and learning for us. Our reach expanded to seven new countries – including Austria, Colombia, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Portugal, and Scotland – bringing fresh perspectives and opportunities to our work. Collaboration was key to our success, and we are deeply grateful to our team, strategic partners, and clients for their trust and commitment.

We continue to be a certified Local Business entity in Philadelphia, USA, a Certified Woman and Minority Owned Business, a Project Management Authorized Training Provider, and we now have partnerships with global human capital consulting entities who can provide complementary support for our larger, more in depth engagements.

Here are some highlights:

  • 100% of participants in our flagship “Compass” program rated it as engaging, inspiring, and relevant.
  • We pursued over 35 opportunities, transforming both wins and losses into valuable insights that sharpened our services.
  • Our first LensGo Team footrace (5k or 1/2 marathon) in Philadelphia inspired many to remove many lenses of limitations.
  • Mentored (and coached) many emerging coaching businesses to develop sustainable practices.
  • The launch of the EYP Academy Training Platform and Leadership COGS microlearning modules now allows us to serve even more leaders flexibly and effectively.

The Road Ahead

Now that we have reached 2025, the question is not just whether leaders are ready for the future—it’s whether they have the tools to shape it. We remain steadfast in our commitment to helping leaders grow, adapt, and excel. To our clients, partners, and colleagues: thank you for making 2024 remarkable. Your dedication and drive inspire us to push boundaries and create greater impact.

Are you ready for 2025? Keep removing your lenses of limitation and let’s go together.
